Tullynakill Cottage is located in a small development
of holiday cottages known as Hazelwoodglen.
Locally there is plenty to do - On-site there is a rural
walk offering magnificent views out over Strangford Lough,
a 40 minute drive takes you to 2 Forest Parks (Tollymore
and Castlewellan) both with great walks to suit all ages
and Newcastle, the Gateway to the Mourne Mountains and
Slieve Donard, Ulster's tallest Mountain which overlooks
the Irish Sea and was the inspiration for Percy French
and his song "Where the Mountains of Mourne sweep
down to the sea... "
 Other
local attractions and activities include a Butterfly House
at Seaforde, Golf, Pony trekking and riding, sailing, cycling,
many museums and an aquarium, National Trust properties
(Castleward, Mount Stewart and Rowallane all within a 30
minute drive) and much much more.
Only 20 minutes from the buzzing city of Belfast and within
a leisurely day trip to the North Antrim Coast and the
Giant's Causeway, Portrush, The Bushmills Whiskey Distillery
and the magnificent Glens of Antrim.
For refreshment on the days you decide Self Catering is
not for you the local area supports many quality restaurants
from the Lisbarnett Arms (a 5 minute walk away), Balloo
House and Daft Eddies both within a 10 minute drive as
is Comber with both Indian, Chinese and fast food outlets.
Further afield are many high quality restaurants and food
based pubs and Belfast is now rich with restaurants to
suit all tastes and budgets.
