Located in a prime location in the heart of the village of Portaferry, Hazel's House offers superb family holiday accommodation. It's situation ensures that you will have a relaxing time with the Strangford - Portaferry ferry regularly passing by every 1/2 hour along with many other small craft and the village hosts many craft shops for relaxing browsing.

Many more energetic activities can be found nearby from fishing trips, forest and mountain walks, horse riding, cycling and more to occupy the family during the day. For the less energetic or for the days you just want to "take it easy" there are many sites and attractions to visit from the Aquarium, only a short walk from Hazel's House, to several National Trust properties, Museums and ancient monuments including Windmill Hill Viewpoint just outside Portaferry.

For the days you decide that the Self Catering bit is not for you there are several quality restaurants and pubs serving quality food for all tastes and budgets within a short walk of Hazel's House accommodation.

Hazel's House comes fitted to a high 4 Star standard with comfortable furnishing and all modern conviencies that you may require on your holiday:

The House is heated using an Oil Fired system and the private back yard area is equipped with a B-B-Q.

The Strangford/Portaferry ferry departs every 30 minutes during the day offering quick access to South Down where you will find the Mourne Mountains, Tollymore and Castlewellan Forest Parks and many other attractions such as the Butterfly House at Seaforde, Museums and Cathedral (location of St Patrick's Grave) in Downpatrick and much much more.........

Local attractions: Exploris Aquarium (200 meters), Castleward - National Trust (1½ miles + Ferry), Mount Stewart (15 miles), several local historical sites inc. Ring Fort – Lovely sandy Beaches at Cloughey (5 miles)
