From Belfast
If approaching from Larne or Belfast International Airport
stay on the M2 following the signs for Bangor onto the
M3 bridge and then onto the A2.
From the city take the A2 following the signs for Bangor.
At the fisrt major junction you come to after passing the
Belfast City Airport turn right using the filter lanes
and follow the signs for Newtownards to eventaully join
the A20 after taking a left turn then going straight over
a roundabout and turning left at a major set of traffic
lights onto the A20 (Upper Newtownards Road)
Pass Stormont and Knock Golf Club (both on your left) and
carry straight on passing the Ulster Hospital, again on
the right, until you reach Newtownards.
At the roundabout as you reach Newtownards go straight
over it following the signs for Town Centre then follow
the signs for Portaferry (A20).
You will pass the National Trust property, Mount Stewart
shortly fater leaving Newtownards as you drive down the
coast of Strangfrd ough where you will eventually reach
Greyabbey, turn right in the village for Kircubbin and
Portaferry.
On arriving in Portaferry follow the signs for the Ferry.
Hazel's House in Number 5 The Strand, a few doors down
from the Portaferry House Hotel overlloking the lough.
From Downpatrick
Take the A22 signposted Killyleagh from the roundabout
on the outskirts of Downpatrick.
Turn right onto the A25 signposted Strangford and follw
this road all the way to Strangford, You will pass the
National Trust Property, Castleward, shortly before reaching
Strangford. In Strangford you take the Ferry across to
Portaferry. You will be able to see Hazel's House along
the shore just befor you dock. It is a few doors down from
the Portaferry House Hotel.
